The sterilization principle of the MANOA system becomes active when an organism is exposed to UV-C light. The UV-C is then absorbed into the thymine layer of the cell's DNA and destroys the alignment of the DNA, thus killing the genetic function of the cells instantly.
Equipped with a sensor, the MANOA system turns on automatically as soon as the hands or an object are inserted. A screen display indicates the disinfection time (3 seconds) and the lamps are placed so as not to be in direct view for a disinfection solution in complete safety. MANOA does not require refills or batteries. LED lamps have a lifespan of more than 10,000 hours, or more than 5 years! The MANOA system has many advantages over alcohol-based gels, to better protect against the spread of disease-causing germs and bacteria.
MANOA requires only very low maintenance and no consumables, due to the lifespan of the LED lamps, it plugs directly into the mains. The MANOA is not a medical device.
