ELECTROSTIMULATION FOR FOOTBALLERS

ELECTROSTIMULATION (EMS) A COMPLEMENTARY EXERCISE TO OPTIMIZE THE PERFORMANCE OF PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS

Research carried out with football players, over fourteen weeks, made it possible to measure the improvement in their abilities over an entire season.

The results demonstrate that 2 dynamic training sessions with electrostimulation associated with 6 football training sessions, can be effective in significantly improving the following abilities:

  • Sprint
  • Change of direction
  • Ball kick speed
  • Vertical jump

The system is already adopted by professional players, such as former goalkeeper Jordi Codina and current Real Madrid C.F defender Dani Carvajal.

LONG-TERM MUSCLE PROTECTION

Today the number of games per season is increasing, the muscles are put to the test and need to be protected. Good management of his body has become essential.

By combining their training with electrostimulation sessions, players reduce the risk of injury and increase their abilities (speed, jump, strike, etc.).

Certain muscle groups are less targeted during training, EMS makes it possible to target a particular group: calf, gluteus, quadriceps or even the hamstrings.

EXAMPLE: During a match, the areas often affected are the hamstrings. Indeed, because this area can work, the muscle group is unbalanced and this promotes injury when the body is tired.
